Venezia Shopping Center has opened its doors
The Venezia Shopping Center, which opened its doors in July 2015, brings together Turkey’s most well-known brands together with a Venetian architectural aesthetic.
This site has 156 retail spaces with a total leasable space of 68,000 square meters. The first completed stage of our project, Port Venezia VIA, greets visitors with a world-class shopping experience. Shoppers will have access to the most beloved global brands in a wide range of shops: apparel, accessories, electronics, furniture, childrens’ wear, and food markets, all of which are situated in both indoor and outdoor areas. We have brought the spirit of Venice to Istanbul through the the Venezia Shopping Center.
Open between 11 AM and 11 PM daily, visitors can enjoy relaxing gondola rides in canals that are the width of about 8 to 12 meters, and a bustling social life in the dining areas around the re-created San Marco Square. Our aim is to add a new facet to the "outlet" concept with the Venezia Shopping Center, where we estimate 15 million visitors will come annually.
Speaking at the opening ceremony on July 30, 2015, the Chairman of VIA Properties Board, Mr. Coşkun Bayraktar, noted that they would continue with similar projects, with particular emphasis on Istanbul “firsts”. Chairman Bayraktar added: "With the Viaport Venezia project, we’ve brought Venice, one of the most beautiful cities in the world, to Istanbul. Viaport Venezia has added another dimension to the European side, and we are proud of putting our signature on one Turkey’s most valuable investments.”
In terms of public transportation, the building of a direct connection to Viaport Venezia is underway. This connection, will be on the Metro subway line between Mecidiyekoy and the third airport, where construction has begun. The tram line that runs between Habipler and Topkapi is also nearby.
Also affiliated with Vialand Tema Park, the Gürsoy Group is proud of its experience and will continue to put its signature on Istanbul’s most valuable projects.
